To Jordan Jones, my other half-

Even though our time as drum majors is “over,” it’s never REALLY over. Let’s face it, it’s who we are. :) It’s in our blood. We were meant to do it, and if that means someday you march corps or I conduct a college marching band, or even if we never do any of that, it doesn’t matter. It’s about our attitude towards life. That’s what being a drum major is all about. I love you, and I wouldn’t trade being drum majors with you for anything in the entire world. It was a wonderful two years, and I’m so glad we got to share it together. It’s a bond no one can break and it’s a bond no one really understands until they have it with someone else. It’s time for us to move on to bigger and better things! (I know that sounds crazy… because nothing beats being a drum major…) But it’s the truth. We’re moving on. And even though we’re going to different schools, we’re moving on TOGETHER. I love you.
